Terms of use

Last updated June 2026

Read this first: using this portal does not make us your lawyers. An attorney-client relationship with Yocum Law Office begins only when a written fee agreement is signed by both you and Mindy Yocum.

What this portal is

A guided way to prepare an uncontested Ohio divorce or dissolution with an attorney reviewing your situation and preparing your documents. It is available only for marriages with no minor children and no current pregnancy, and only for the Ohio counties we serve.

The eligibility review is free and tells you whether a guided service fits. General information in the portal — including filing and hearing guidance — is educational, not legal advice about your specific case.

When we become your attorney

Only on signature of a written fee agreement by you and Mindy Yocum. Before that, submitting information, creating an account, exchanging messages, or receiving a recommendation does not create a relationship, does not obligate the firm to represent you, and does not create any duty to act on deadlines in your case.

Nothing you submit before that point should be assumed to be protected by attorney-client privilege, though we treat it confidentially as a matter of practice.

Your responsibilities

The documents we prepare are only as accurate as the answers you give us. You agree to provide complete, truthful information and to tell us promptly when something changes. You are responsible for reviewing every document before it is filed or signed, for meeting court deadlines, and for attending any hearing the court schedules.

Use the portal only for your own matter. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share.

Fees

Guided service fees, what they include, and what they exclude are set out in your fee agreement. Court filing fees, service costs, and notary fees are separate and paid to those parties. Reduced fees based on household income are limited in number and require supporting documentation and attorney approval.

No guaranteed outcome

No attorney can guarantee a result. Courts, judges, and magistrates make their own decisions, and your spouse’s cooperation is outside our control. We can promise careful preparation and clear guidance — not a specific outcome or timeline.

Your account

Keep your password private and let us know right away if you think someone else has access to your account. We may suspend access for misuse or where continuing would create a conflict of interest.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version. These terms are governed by Ohio law. Our professional conduct is governed by the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct.
